1. Daily scrum

What is Daily scrum?

Daily Scrum, Daily Standup or Daily Standup Meeting is a regular event conducted in development teams to synchronise activities and plan for the next working day.

How it works

The daily scrum meetings are usually held each morning before the working on a project continues.

The team members go through what was being done the previous working day, what is going to be done the following working day and if there any obstacles hindering to move forward with work. This is why the daily scrum standardised the following questions, each team members answers during the daily scrum meeting:

  • What were you working the previous day?
  • What are you going to be working on today?
  • Is there anything blocking your progress?

The participants of the daily scrum meetings are all members of a team or a group of people working on a project.
